Fast Pass Driving School now offers you the chance of becoming a driving instructor just like all of us! Be your own boss, work the hours that suit you and feel that sense of achievement when another pupil of yours passes their driving test. Not many jobs offer this flexibility and satisfaction so why not train with us to become a DVSA approved instructor. With Fast Pass Driving School rapidly expanding we are always looking for sincere and reliable people to join our company. You are never to be out of work and with a flexible approach; you can train at your own pace around your current commitments!

We guarantee that you will be taught on a one-to-one basis so you will be getting the full attention that you need in order to pass the course. The training course consists of three parts:

Part 1: Theory Test

The theory test is made up of two parts: multiple choice and hazard perception. For the multiple choice, there are 100 questions to answer from four sections:

  • Road procedure
  • Traffic signs and signals, car control, pedestrians, mechanical knowledge
  • Driving test, disabilities, law
  • Publication, instructional techniques

You must pass each section to pass the multiple choice as this ensures that you have comprehensive knowledge across the whole of the syllabus.

The hazard perception test consists of 14 video clips that show everyday road scenes. You are to respond to the hazards when you see them on the clips with the quicker you notice them the more marks that you get.

Part 2: Driving Test

This is an advanced driving test with a high standard of competence. You must show the examiner that you have a thorough knowledge of what good driving is and road safety and how you can apply them. First, any eyesight test is done, then a few safety questions are asked and then there is the test of driving ability. This test is only allowed to be attempted three times.

Part 3: Instructional Ability Test

For this test, the examiner will observe you give a client-centred driving lesson to one of your pupils, lasting 1 hour. The examiner will look for evidence that you meet the national standard for driver and rider training. For more information, click here.
